Matthew Game – Chief Executive Officer

Matthew was the founder of MDL. He started his career in the healthcare sector some 20 years ago working within the pharmaceutical industry marketing products to GPs, and qualified as an Associate of British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI). In 1989, Matthew set up MDL with two Medical Practitioners, before leading a management buyout in 2001.

Mark Dillon

Mark Dillon – Finance Director

Mark studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge before starting his career with British Telecom in 1985. He went on to co-found a software business providing services to the emerging UK cable television sector and was also instrumental in establishing a network of local broadcast television stations across the UK. Mark trained with KPMG as a Chartered Accountant and spent four years based in St Albans with clients in HR services, retail and medico-legal sectors. He joined Mobile Doctors in April 2008 as Group Financial Controller

Paul Crowther

Paul Crowther – Sales and Marketing Director

After graduating from the University of Swansea with a 2ii joint honours degree in Psychology / Zoology, Paul joined Searle Pharmaceuticals as a medical representative where he attained the position of top salesman in the company and was promoted to regional sales manager; taking his team to top sales team. Following a time in head office he took a year out to obtain a full time MBA from Warwick University; one of the top 2 business schools for teaching and research in the UK. Paul then returned to the pharmaceutical industry in marketing roles where he achieved most successful launch ever of an anti-angina product in the UK and progressed to the position of Marketing Manager in Merck pharmaceuticals. In 1997 Paul joined Mobile Doctors where he is currently the Marketing Director.

Paul Collin

Paul Collin – Medical Services Director

Paul joined the company in 2000 after 13 years in Financial Consultancy.  His prior experience includes many years in commerce in a broad range of companies.  He received his MBA in 1999 and Fellowship of the Chartered Management Institute three years later.   His management consulting role encompassed Financial Consultancy, Human Resources and staff Training.

Steven Hawes

Steve Hawes – IT Director

Steve joined Mobile Doctors in 1995 after a number of years as a consultant to the company and was appointed to the board as IT Director in 1997. He has a Degree in Applied Physics and Laser Technology and over twenty years IT experience, including a number of years spent in the USA running a highly successful IT services and software firm.

Arthur Branney – Operations Director

After graduating University with a BSc (Hons) in Microbial Biotechnology (2i) Arthur went on to pursue his career in drug research working on proof of concept drug trial work for the first ever Mycology research laboratory in Europe.  Whilst in this role Arthur researched drugs that can be seen on the shelves of your local pharmacies today.  Arthur went on to pursue his career in clinical research working for large blue chip organisations and smaller more nimble companies where he worked his way up to Global Director level.  He successfully led his team to a 70% increase in profits and increased the Global footprint of the organisation in 1 year.  Arthur designed, implemented and managed the outsourcing strategy in the UK for one of the top three Pharmaceutical companies and again has had significant impact to the bottom line of that organisation.

Arthur is a professional member of the Institute of Clinical Research and has submitted his application to become a Chartered Scientist.  In his new role, Arthur will be responsible for the strategic management and operational delivery of Mobile Doctors.  

In his spare time Arthur studies the martial art of Shotokan Karate and is currently a Black Belt.

Management Team

Helen Furby – Operations Manager

Helen Furby joined Mobile Doctors in October 2003.

Helen spent 9 years of her early career in Retail Management working across 3 branches of Marks & Spencer on a Management Development Programme. Her last placement involved setting up one of the first out of town stores.

Prior to joining Mobile Doctors, Helen worked for 7 years in Retail Finance for First National Bank. Initially involved in Training, the majority of Helen’s time was spent as Operations Manager organising the Recovery Management call centre.

At home in Hertfordshire, Helen is mum to 3 daughters. In her spare time she enjoys playing golf and has an interest in interior design.

Maria Gibbins – Customer Service Manager

Maria is the newest member to join the management team in her role as Customer Service Manager; she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her previous role as General Manager of medi-fiche, and her extensive background in the customer service and support industry.

A BA Honours Degree graduate in Business and Psychology, Chartered Institute of Marketing DipM qualified, Prince2 accredited in Project Management, and a certified trainer (PGCET).  Maria is a strong advocate of training and continual development, which places her in a good position to head up the customer service area and training for the group.

Maria started her career at IBM National Call Management Centre; part of IBM Global Services, responsible for marketing the centre’s outsourcing offerings to such customers as BT, Eurostar and the UK Passport Agency.

She later joined the Help Desk Institute (which included the prestigious Customer Service Management Group). Working with the groups international divisions in the US, Europe and Japan. Her roles included: Head of Research, Certification Manager for the North America region, Global Product and Account Manager and managing the consultancy area of the business. Maria’s responsibilities included: developing and rolling out internationally recognised standards for customer support centres aimed at improving efficiencies and raising performance standards and undertaking support centre consultancy audits for clients including: The Parliamentary Helpdesk, DLA, ING Direct and Lloyds TSB.

Fabian Baptiste – Credit Manager

Fabian’s career in Credit management spans some 20 years.

Starting out in the banking industry, Fabian progressed into the communications/vehicle fleet management arena.  In the latter position he headed up a credit control department and was responsible for the development of the firm’s credit policies.

Today, Fabian works closely with the Financial Director and is supported by a dedicated team, continually improving our Accounts management.

An avid cricket fan, he is keen on a variety of mainstream sports and is kept forever young by his 3 sons.

Neil Ross – Business Development Manager

Neil has many years experience in the legal insurance industry as well as a background in motor claims. He started his career as a Motor Claims Handler for the National Freight Company and spent a number of years as a Fee Earner for Walker Morris (Leeds based solicitors) in their Accident Department.

He progressed into business development with D.A.S. Legal Expenses as a sales consultant and subsequently ULR company Motor Law, where he developed pre-event and after event legal schemes dealing with Funders, Underwriters and Solicitors, ultimately becoming responsible for Operations.

Neil joined Mobile Doctors in October 2003 to develop their core business through standard and non standard channels and is responsible for almost a third of the medical instructions the Company receives every year

Neil works from home in Huddersfield, is married with 2 children, and enjoys playing golf and squash.

Hope Grant – Marketing Manager

After graduating in 1991 with a BA Hons in Communication Studies, Hope spent her early career in TV and radio research and production, working for Kilroy TV, former broadcaster and chair of the Greater London Assembly, Trevor Phillips and BBC Pebble Mill.

Hope joined Filofax in 1993, where she was sponsored and gained a Diploma in Communications, Advertising and Marketing. She worked in marketing communications with international distributors on brand marketing and new product development, before moving onto work as Marketing Manager for an Electronic Point of Sale company.

Having joined Mobile Doctors in 2002 for 6 months marketing solely to instructing parties, Hope freelanced for BBC Radio Four’s Home Truths, before working in a city-based HR company in a Marketing/Business Development capacity. Returning to Mobile Doctors in 2004 with the direction of Paul Crowther, Hope manages above and below the line campaigns, professional relations, and all direct marketing activities.

Hope relaxes with Pilates and enjoys travelling, film, theatre and music. She is also a dedicated taxi service for her daughter’s busy social life.
